Ordinary cartons soak up condensation in the cold and go soft, which is the last thing you want when the box is holding chilled or frozen stock. Our freezer grade boxes are made to stand up to cold rooms, freezers and refrigerated transport, and they come in two sizes that match our thermal liners. Add gel packs and you have a complete insulated shipper for food, meal kits, seafood and pharmaceuticals.

Why use freezer grade boxes?
When cold product meets warmer air, moisture forms on and inside the box. A standard carton absorbs that moisture, loses strength and can sag or collapse in a stack. Freezer grade cartons are made to resist moisture, so they hold their shape for the whole trip.

How to pack a freezer grade box
1. Fit the liner
Open the matching thermal liner inside the box so it covers the base and sides, with the flaps over the top.
2. Gel packs, product, gel packs
Lay fully frozen gel packs on the base, add your pre-chilled or frozen product, then more gel packs on top. Fill gaps so cold air isn't wasted.
3. Close and seal
Fold the liner over, then tape the box closed with a tape that grips in the cold, such as natural rubber packaging tape. Label it and ship it as soon as you can.
Who uses freezer grade boxes?
They're used by meal kit and grocery delivery businesses, seafood and meat suppliers, bakeries and dessert makers, pharmaceutical and lab suppliers, florists and online brands sending chilled goods direct to customers. For longer trips or hot-weather routes, a polystyrene esky gives extra insulation.

Are freezer grade boxes recyclable?
They're cardboard, so once they're empty and dry they can usually go in cardboard recycling. Remove the thermal liner and gel packs first, as these are recycled separately.
