Logistics Labelling FAQs

What is the practical difference between direct thermal and thermal transfer labels?

Direct thermal labels use heat-activated paper, meaning the printer requires no ink or ribbons—ideal for short-term shipping labels. Thermal transfer printing utilizes a heated resin or wax ribbon to lock crisp ink onto the face sheet, creating highly durable labels that resist fading, scratching, and moisture over long-term outdoor warehouse storage runs.

Will your stock labels lift off when applied to heavy recycled cardboard boxes?

No. Recycled cardboard features shortened paper fibres that can cause cheap labels to lift and curl away. Our logistics labels are manufactured with an optimised, aggressive permanent adhesive grade that bites immediately into recycled surfaces, ensuring your packages don't lose their tracking IDs during sorting.
