Our poly bags are clear, open-top polythene bags that keep products clean and dry and let you see what's inside at a glance. Warehouses, manufacturers and online stores use them to bag parts, clothing, samples and stock before it goes into a carton or onto a shelf.
We carry sizes from small 100 x 150mm bags up to big 1000 x 1500mm bags, plus heavy duty poly bags for sharp or heavy items. Most sizes are held at our Villawood warehouse and sold per 1,000.

Poly Bag Sizes
Sizes are width x length in millimetres. You'll find every size and thickness in our poly bags range below.
Small Poly Bags
From 100 x 150mm to 150 x 250mm. Small polythene bags for screws, fittings, spare parts, samples and jewellery.
Medium Poly Bags
From 200 x 300mm to 455 x 610mm. The everyday sizes for clothing, documents, boxed products and general stock.
Large Poly Bags
From 500 x 750mm up to big 1000 x 1500mm bags. For bulky items, bedding, cushions, carton liners and machine covers.
Choosing a Thickness
Bag thickness is measured in microns (um). The heavier or sharper the item, the thicker the bag you need.
25 to 35 micron. Light and economical. Best for clothing, documents, soft goods and dust covers.
40 to 50 micron. The general-purpose grade. Best for boxed products, parts and day-to-day warehouse use.
65 micron and up. Tougher film for heavy items, metal parts and sharp edges. See our heavy duty poly bags.
Liners and Specialty Bags
Drum liners. 1000 x 1500mm at 40 micron, on a roll of 200, to line drums and bins.
3 cubic metre bin liners. Extra-large 80 micron liners for bulk bins.
Dust extraction bags. Heavy 150 micron bags, 890 x 1500mm, for dust extractors and workshop collectors.
Produce bags on a roll. 450 x 300mm HDPE bags, 1,000 per roll, that tear off one at a time.

Common Questions
Are poly bags and polythene bags the same thing?
Yes. "Poly" is short for polythene, also called polyethylene. Poly bags, polythene bags, polybags and plastic packing bags all mean the same clear, flexible bag.
What size poly bag do I need?
For a flat item, choose a bag about 25mm wider and 50mm longer than the item. For a thicker item or a box, add its depth to both the width and the length, then allow a little extra so it slides in easily.
What thickness poly bag should I use?
25 to 35 micron suits clothing, documents and soft goods. 40 to 50 micron is the all-rounder for general packing. For heavy items, metal parts or sharp edges, choose 65 micron or one of our heavy duty poly bags.
How do I seal a poly bag?
These are open-top bags. Fold the top over and tape it, or use a heat sealer for a clean, airtight seal.
How are poly bags sold?
Most sizes are sold per 1,000 bags. Liners and specialty bags come by the roll or carton, as shown on each product.
Do you deliver poly bags in Sydney?
Yes. We deliver from our Villawood warehouse, and delivery is free on Sydney metro orders over $300. Pickup is also available.
