Description

Corflute Sheets: Black and White Corrugated Plastic Board

Lightweight, waterproof sheets for floor protection, packaging and signs

Corflute is a tough, lightweight corrugated plastic sheet. It's waterproof, cuts easily with a utility knife and can be used again and again, which is why builders, warehouses and sign makers rely on it.

We supply black and white corflute sheets in the standard 2440 x 1220mm size, usually within 3 to 5 working days, with trade pricing on bulk orders.

Not sure which sheet suits your job?

What Is Corflute?

Corflute is a brand name that's become the everyday word for fluted plastic sheet. It's made from polypropylene, with two flat skins joined by thin ribs running the length of the sheet. That gives you a board that's stiff and strong for its weight, a bit like corrugated cardboard, but it won't go soft or fall apart when it gets wet.

Waterproof

Rain, spills and mopping water won't hurt it. It's weather resistant and keeps its shape where cardboard would soak through.

Light and Easy to Cut

One person can carry a stack. Cut it to size on site with a utility knife and a straight edge.

Tough and Reusable

Takes knocks, dropped tools and foot traffic, then gets stacked and used again on the next job.

Recyclable

Made from polypropylene (code 5), so clean sheets can go into commercial plastic recycling at the end of their life.

Common Uses for Corflute Sheets

Floor and surface protection. Lay sheets over timber floors, tiles, stone benchtops and stairs during building, renovation or fit-out work. It stops paint drips, plaster dust and boot scuffs, and you can tape the joins with masking tape or duct tape.

Packaging and pallet layers. Use sheets as dividers between layers of heavy or sharp goods. A plastic layer spreads the weight across the pallet and can be reused for returnable freight.

Signs and displays. White corflute board is a popular base for real estate signs, safety signs and event signage, because it takes vinyl lettering and printing well.

Boxes, trays and site jobs. It's easy to fold and fix, so it's handy for returnable boxes, bin dividers, temporary hoarding and window or door protection.

How to Choose the Right Corflute Sheet

Pick your colour. Black hides dirt on work sites. White is the go-to for signs and anywhere you want a clean look.

Think about thickness. Our standard sheets are 2.5mm, which suits floor protection, dividers and most signs. Heavier traffic or bigger spans need a stiffer sheet, so ask us about thicker options.

Check the flute direction. The ribs run one way along the sheet. It's stiffest across the flutes and folds most easily along them, so plan your cuts with that in mind.

Work out how many. Each sheet covers about 3 square metres. Measure the area, divide by three and add a few spares for overlaps and offcuts.

Covering a big site or ordering by the pallet?

Tell us how many sheets you need and the colour, and we'll send trade pricing. Ask us about other sizes and thicknesses too.

Other Protection Options

For a cardboard alternative under pallet loads, see our pallet pads. Protect edges and corners with corner protectors, cushion delicate items with packing foam, and hold the whole load together with pallet wrap.

Common Questions

What is corflute made of?

It's made from polypropylene, a tough and lightweight plastic. Two flat skins are joined by thin ribs, called flutes, which makes the sheet stiff but light, much like corrugated cardboard.

Is corflute waterproof?

Yes. It's fully waterproof and won't go soft, rot or warp when it gets wet, so it holds up where cardboard can't, including outdoors and on wet building sites.

How do you cut corflute?

Use a sharp utility knife and a metal ruler. Cutting along the flutes is easiest. To make a clean fold, score through one skin only and bend the sheet away from the cut.

What size are corflute sheets?

The standard sheet size is 2440 x 1220mm, which matches a standard sheet of plywood or plasterboard. Ask us if you need a different size or thickness.

Can corflute be recycled?

Yes. It's polypropylene (recycling code 5). Clean sheets with tape and stickers removed can go into commercial plastic recycling. Better still, reuse them on the next job.

Do you sell corflute in bulk?

Yes. Builders, flooring contractors and warehouses buy it by the pack or pallet. Send us your sheet count and we'll put together trade pricing.
