Industrial Plastic Packaging and Poly Bag Solutions for Australian Warehouses

Choosing the Right Plastic: LDPE vs HDPE, in Plain English

Grab the wrong plastic off the shelf and you'll know about it fast: split bags, torn wrap, stock damaged before it even leaves the dock. The good news is it really comes down to one simple question: do you need it to flex, or do you need it to be tough?

LDPE (Low-Density Polyethylene) is the soft, stretchy, clear plastic. It's what most general-purpose poly bags, clear wrap and everyday packaging are made from, because it flexes and stretches without tearing.

HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) is the stiffer, crinklier plastic. It won't stretch much, but it's tougher and harder to puncture, which is why it's the go-to for heavy-duty waste liners and jobs where strength matters more than flexibility.

STOCK SIZES

Poly Bags and Resealable Liners

Heavy duty plastic bags and clear poly bags for keeping parts and stock protected on the floor, in storage, or ready to ship. Call them poly bags or bags poly, if it's plastic and it needs to hold something, we've likely got it in stock.

Heavy Duty Poly Bags Villawood
  • Open-Ended Poly Film: 100% virgin LDPE food-safe bags, from small parts bags through to large clear polythene bags and bags plastic clear enough to check contents at a glance.
  • Resealable Zip Packs: Our press seal bags use thick, easy-grip zip tracks, ideal as snap lock bags or plastic zip lock bags for small parts tracking, sample kits, or anywhere you need to open and reseal the same bag.

Pallet Wrap and Stretch Film

From basic hand-wrap rolls to a full pallet wrapping machine, we'll help you keep loads secure for the trip without burning through rolls of plastic.

Pallet Stretch Wrap Sydney
  • Fusion Technology: Our multi-layer Fusion film wraps thinner but holds tighter, so you get through fewer rolls without loosening the load.
  • Black Security Wrap: Opaque black pallet wrap, sometimes searched for as black shrink wrap, keeps stock out of sight and protects it from UV damage in transit or storage.
  • Sustainable PCR Eco Film: Made with 50% recycled plastic, without giving up the holding power you need on the dock.

Getting More Out of Your Pallet Wrap

If you're going through rolls of pallet wrap faster than you'd like, or stock keeps arriving loose, the problem usually isn't the price of the plastic. It's the type.

Standard wrap can thin out or snap when it's stretched too far by hand. Pre-stretched films like our Fusion range are stretched during manufacturing, so they naturally try to spring back to shape once they're wound around your pallet. That's what holds everything together so tightly, and it means you can use noticeably less film to get the same result.

If your team is wrapping more than a handful of pallets a day by hand, pairing a pallet wrapping machine with the right film is usually the fastest way to fix both the film usage and the loose-load problem at once.

Industrial Plastic Selection and Application Guide

Not sure which plastic or thickness suits the job? Here's a quick guide to match your task to the right product:

Product Line Plastic Type Micron Range Best For
Press Seal Zip Bags Virgin LDPE (High Clarity) 40um to 50um Sorting small parts, logging samples, or any job where the same bag gets opened and resealed.
Oversized Pallet Bags Gusseted LDPE Blends 30um to 100um Covering full pallets, protecting machinery, or keeping dust off stock in storage.
Corflute Fluted Sheets Extruded Polypropylene (PP) 2.5mm to 4.0mm Protecting floors and surfaces on site from drops and heavy foot traffic.
Commercial Waste Liners Heavy Duty HDPE / LDPE 25um to 80um+ Handling sharp offcuts, strap clippings and general warehouse rubbish without splitting.

Packaging Selection FAQ

Do you supply heavy duty plastic bags in bulk?
Yes. We stock a wide range of heavy duty poly bags, industrial waste sacks and oversized pallet bags at our Villawood warehouse, ready for high-volume orders. Standard thicknesses go up to 100 microns plus, and we can arrange custom runs for bigger jobs.
What's the difference between poly bags and polythene bags?
Nothing, they're the same thing. Poly is just the everyday name for polythene or polyethylene. We stock both LDPE (softer and more flexible, good for general bags and wrapping) and HDPE (stiffer and tougher, good for heavy-duty jobs), so you get the right one for what you're packing.
How does corflute protect surfaces on site?

Our corflute sheet has a fluted, hollow structure, a bit like corrugated cardboard, that absorbs sudden knocks. That's what stops a dropped tool, a heavy barrow or grit underfoot from damaging timber, tiles or other surfaces underneath.

Why do some bin liners split at the seams and others don't?

Cheaper liners often use thin recycled film with weak seams. Our industrial garbage bags use a stronger base weld that spreads the weight of the rubbish evenly, instead of putting all the pressure on one line. That single weak line is usually where cheap bags fail first.
