Standard 10mm bubble wrap uses very small air pockets designed primarily to protect against surface scratches on lighter items. The 20mm profile features a wider, taller medium-sized cell that provides a thicker cushion, allowing it to withstand much heavier blunt impacts and fill large empty spaces inside transport boxes.

When should I specify a heavy-duty P20S double-sided roll layout?

Standard P20 film features open air cells exposed on one side. While this is perfect for wrapping lighter products, heavy industrial goods can pop or compress these cells. The heavy-duty P20S grade sandwiches the bubble profile between two flat sheets of heavy plastic film, locking the air cells in place and significantly increasing its puncture resistance.
