Why Pack With Butchers Paper?
Clean and Ink-Free
Plain white paper with nothing printed on it, so there's no ink to transfer onto glassware, homewares or finished surfaces.
Just the Right Weight
At 45gsm it folds neatly around awkward shapes, and it crumples into a soft, springy cushion for filling gaps.
Big Sheets
At 580 x 840mm, one sheet wraps most plates, glasses and small homewares. You use fewer sheets and pack faster.
Plastic-Free
It's plain paper, so it's easy to recycle and an easy way to cut plastic out of your parcels.

Common Uses
Online orders and dispatch. Wrap each item, then crumple a few sheets to fill the gaps so nothing moves in the box.
Moving and removals. Removalists use white packing paper for plates, glasses and ornaments because it keeps everything clean.
Retail and homewares. A clean wrap at the counter or in the parcel looks far better than newspaper.
Interleaving. Place sheets between stacked plates, tiles, panels or finished parts to stop scratches and scuffs.
How to Wrap Fragile Items
1. Line the box. Crumple two or three sheets into the bottom of the carton as a cushion.
2. Wrap each item. Place the item on the corner of a sheet and roll it towards the opposite corner, tucking in the sides as you go. Use two sheets for anything delicate.
3. Pack tightly. Stand plates on their edge and keep heavier items at the bottom.
4. Fill the gaps. Crumple more sheets into any empty space and on top, so nothing can shift when the box is moved.

More Packing Paper Options
Wrapping jewellery, silver or clothing? Try the acid-free tissue in our packing paper range. For void fill and heavier wrapping, see our kraft paper rolls or a paper void fill system. Common Questions
Is this butchers paper food safe?
This paper is made for packing and protecting goods, and it isn't certified for direct food contact. If you need paper for wrapping meat or other food, get in touch and we'll suggest a food-grade option.
What's the difference between butcher paper and kraft paper?
Butcher paper is white, smooth and clean-looking, so it suits wrapping finished goods. Kraft paper is brown and tougher, and it's better value for void fill, lining cartons and heavier wrapping jobs.
How many sheets are in a bundle?
Each 15kg bundle holds about 685 sheets of 45gsm paper, cut to 580 x 840mm.
Can packing paper replace bubble wrap?
For many items, yes. A few sheets wrapped around each item, with crumpled paper filling the gaps, protects most glassware, ceramics and homewares. For very fragile, heavy or high-value goods, bubble wrap still gives more cushioning.
Is it recyclable?
Yes. It's plain, unprinted paper with no plastic or wax coating, so your customers can put it straight into paper recycling.
Do you offer bulk pricing?
Yes. We offer better pricing on multiple bundles and regular orders. Tell us how many bundles you use a month in the form below and we'll quote it.
